Welcome to the San Francisco Mortuary Indexing Project (MIP).
Anyone may participate and we appreciate everyone who does.
The final index and images will be freely searchable at sfgenealogy
and a copy given to LDS.

This project will index the digital images of actual mortuary records.
The index will only consist of the individual's name and date of death.
A Tutorial is available to see how this is done (click on button below).

There will be two passes for each image, done by two different
indexers. This will, hopefully, insure the correct transcription of the
information.

Each volunteer may index as many images as they wish. There are
no quotas.

If you would like to participate, Register once first and then
Login each time afterwards (click on buttons below).

You will also be added to the project mailing list to be kept apprised 
of any project announcements or just to chat with your fellow 
volunteers. (You can unsubscribe at any time.)
